| Olympic selection for Wiegersma!!
We would like to congratulate Lucy Wiegersma on making the Olympic 3 day Event Team selection.
Lucy, who will ride Shaabrak, was overwhelmed at her selection. "It has been my lifetime ambition to ride in an Olympics. I am particularly thrilled as I have ridden Shaabrak for ten years - he is a real trooper and I shall now be wrapping him up in cotton-wool."
Peter has been lucy's showjumping coach for many months now and is delighted at her success. |

| Badminton silver for Lucy
Lucy, the only rider to have won British championships at junior, young rider and senior levels, had been team manager Yogi Breisner's tip to win this Badminton on Shaabrak, and so nearly succeeded. Third in the dressage phase, they climbed a place across country with a brilliant start and fast finish after twice taking long routes. A clear show-jumping round would have brought victory, though she showed commendable courage and concentration after lowering the second fence.
Well done Lucy! |

| Peter part of the eventing scene
Over the last 18 months, I have been working with the British Event Team as the showjumping trainer alongside Kenneth Clawson, which I find very enjoyable and interesting. I feel I have also learned a lot working alongside a different set of professional equestrian people and a different sort of horse.
I find the organisation and the professionalism of the event team second to none. |
